Silent Auction, Door Prizes, Home Services and More!

We’re hours away from the start of the 3rd Forest Heights Blueberry Festival at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 3! If you haven’t yet checked out the full schedule of events, all the information can be found here.

The main location of the festival is the Holly Court cul-de-sac towards the back of the Forest Heights neighborhood. This is where the BikeAthens Kids Rally, Blueberry Cook-off and Blueberry Jam concert will take place. The Garden Tours will be at 515 Forest Heights Drive and just down the hill on the corner at 102 Timberlane. As in years past, please walk or ride bikes to events if you’re able to reduce the traffic congestion and save parking for those who need it.

Silent Auction & Door Prizes!

During the Blueberry Jam concert, we will again be giving away door prizes and conducting a silent auction of new and like-new items donated by neighbors and sponsors. The big door prize will be a $75 bar tab courtesy of the main concert sponsor, The Oglethorpe Garage!

Door prize tickets will be available all day long at the merchandise booth to anyone who makes a donation or purchases merchandise. (You must be present to win!)

Be sure to check out the silent auction items early and often during the concert! They will be located in the yard to the right of the stage, beside the merchandise tent. Items will include:

  • a treadmill

  • an elliptical machine

  • numerous cutting boards

  • an espresso machine

  • a pair of blueberry bushes

  • a pair of cacti

  • a set of signed children books by Bart King & Jacob Wenzka

  • a Frog Stomp Studio Buddy Pass (for two kids)

Home Services Sponsors

This year, we’ve developed a list of recommended home service providers for the neighborhood. The providers paid a small sponsor fee to help cover the cost of a professional sound crew and real stage for the Blueberry Jam. However, we only invited providers to participate, if we knew of at least one Forest Heights resident who gave a favorable review.

Several of the providers will be hanging out during the concert to talk with anyone who has questions about a service. Look for the “Home Services” sign on a tent to the left of the stage. There will be a pamphlet with contact information for each vendor. Or you can download it here. Thanks to the following sponsors!

Food Trucks!

Festival goers are welcome to bring their own food and drink to enjoy during the Blueberry Jam. Also, we will have three food trucks on site, plus the King of Pops! For the third year, DaMunchiez will be serving up some tasty meals. Cafe Racer and Square One on the Run will be with us for the first time.

Please, please, please sort your garbage and recyclables into the appropriate bins spread around the festival site. Thank you!
