About this Year’s Merchandise
This year’s festival design was created by Forest Heights resident and graphic designer Blair Hanemayer of BH Designs. Shirts and other merchandise are available here by pre-order until May 18! Proceeds will be used to cover the costs of the Festival and the Community Blueberry Project.
The merchandise will be produced by local Satisfactory Printing. And a big thanks to Athens Land Trust for continuing to manage our donations and provide sponsorship of the event insurance.
Volunteers Needed!
To facilitate a safe and fun festival, we need about 30 volunteers for numerous 2-hour roles. We need folks to help set up and break down events, manage the merchandise tent or silent auction, monitor the race and bike rally for safety, take photographs and more. To help, please view the options and sign up here.
Festival Locations
The main site of the festival is Holly Court, a small looped street towards the back of the Forest Heights neighborhood in Athens, GA. Several events take place there: BikeAthens Blueberry Rally, Blueberry Hill 5K/Fun-Run, Blueberry Cook-off Competition, and The Blueberry Jam concert.
The field at Oglethorpe Baptist Church will be an event location for the first time this year, hosting the ACC Pop Up Park for kids from 11-1 p.m., followed by a reading from the new children’s novel, Forest Heights, by festival co-director and author, Bart King.
Homes throughout the neighborhood will host How-to Demonstrations from 1-5 p.m. Locations and times here.
TO REACH HOLLY COURT from Forest Heights Drive, turn onto Pine Forest Dr., then take the first right onto Ferncliff, followed by the first left onto Rivermont. The next right is Holly Lane and Holly Court is in the middle of Holly Lane and can’t be missed. Holly Lane will be blocked to cars (except residents and handicapped) from 4:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to walk or bike to events if possible, or park on Rivermont.
Handicapped drivers are welcome to park on the Rivermont end of Holly Lane as close to Holly Court as possible.
Recommended Home Services Providers
We’re currently renewing our list of recommended home service providers for the neighborhood. The providers pay a small sponsor fee to help cover the cost of a professional sound crew, stage and lights for the Blueberry Jam concert. However, we only invite providers to participate, if we know of at least one Forest Heights resident who gives a favorable review. If you provide home services and are interested in appearing on the list and flyer, contact Danielle Gilmer (daniellesgn@gmail.com) for more information.
