Last January, we planted nine blueberry patches throughout Forest Heights. Nearly a year later, all but one or two of the bushes are alive and well. Now it’s time to plant some more!

Time to Start Watering the Blueberries
With spring arriving, it’s time to begin caring for the community blueberry patches we planted a couple months ago in Forest Heights and Newtown.
71 Blueberry Bushes Planted in Forest Heights and Newtown
Eighteen volunteers pitched in last weekend to help plant 48 community blueberry bushes in Forest Heights. Combined with 23 bushes planted in Newtown, the project resulted in a total of 71 bushes and dozens of new community connections.

Volunteers Needed to Help Plant Blueberries
We’re organizing to plant nine blueberry patches around Forest Heights on the weekend of February 6-7.

Big Turnout for Winter Solstice Sunset
Approximately 75 people—including at least one adorable toddler—and a few good-natured dogs showed up for the Winter Solstice Sunset Celebration on Monday evening.

Community Blueberry Project Enters Phase II
The donation phase ended on November 30 with a total of $870 dollars raised in Forest Heights and $425 in Newtown.
